Volleyball Recap: North Salem Comes Up Short

North Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Salem Saxons, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Saxons this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-8, 25-5.

Leading South Salem to victory were Ellenia Setzer and Madison Farnes. Setzer had seven aces and three digs, while Farnes had 25 assists. Those 25 assists gave Farnes a new career-high.

North Salem's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for South Salem, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

North Salem will host Sprague at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Salem, they will take on North Medford in a tournament on Saturday.
