Columbia strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Northwestern Huskies to the tune of 49-0. Columbia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jose Rivera, who rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Rivera a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Menge, who rushed for 110 yards and one score on only six carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Columbia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 332 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 203 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Columbia's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Ambrose Beach was the leader with two.
