Basketball Recap: Portageville's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Portageville got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They snuck past the Malden Green Wave with a 55-51 win on Wednesday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 53-40 loss the last time these two teams met.

Portageville moved to 6-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Malden, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Portageville has already played their next matchup, a 63-52 win against Cooter on the 30th. As for Malden, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-51 defeat against Kennett on the 31st.
