Volleyball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

River Valley lost against Placer back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons came up short against the Hillmen, falling 3-0.

While River Valley ultimately came up short, they really made Placer work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 27-25, 25-18.

Jada Barr paced River Valley's offense, picking up ten kills. Barr got some help from Alexa Campos and her 24 assists. Valeria Correa and Taylor Dill kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Sydney Hodge went supernova For Placer., getting 27 digs and three assists. Hodge has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last three times she's played. Sophia Benard also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Placer, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-13.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. River Valley will challenge Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Placer, they will take on Calaveras at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
