Baseball Game Preview: Fullerton Indians vs. Tustin Tillers

The Fullerton Indians will challenge the Tustin Tillers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Fullerton's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Tustin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fullerton fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Tustin on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tillers by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Declan Fitzgerald was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

Tustin's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13-1. As for Fullerton, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-6-1.
