Recap: Bishop Miege Stags vs. St. James Academy Thunder
The Bishop Miege Stags lost against the St. James Academy Thunder back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bishop Miege was the victim of a rough 73-51 loss at the hands of St. James Academy.
St. James Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reese Messer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Messer set a new season high mark in assists with five. Regan Becker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Bishop Miege's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. James Academy, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bishop Miege won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Vashon at 3:00 p.m. on January 6th. As for St. James Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Blue Valley Southwest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
