Potter Valley hasn't had much luck against Tomales recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bearcats will look to defend their home field against the Braves at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Potter Valley and Round Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bearcats snuck past the Mustangs with a 32-26 win on Friday. The game was the first time the Bearcats have beaten the Mustangs on their field since September 9, 2022.

Potter Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Clayton Johnson, Jamie Castro, and Johnie Phillips picked up one apiece. Phillips also punched in three rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Potter Valley is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Tomales waltzed into their game back in October with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Cubs 56-32. The Braves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The critical scores for Tomales came from Ivan Gonzalez, Shaun Pelayo, Erick Dominguez, and Cole Furlong.

Tomales was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 322 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
