Soccer Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valencia on Tuesday, Highland came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the St. Pius X Sartans on Thursday, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against St. Pius X this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Monday.

Highland's goal came courtesy of R. Neal, who's now up to 32 this season.

Highland moved to 13-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for St. Pius X, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Highland will challenge Miyamura at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miyamura's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Highland's offense will have their work cut out for them. St. Pius X does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
