Football Game Recap: Smith Valley vs. Round Mountain

After having lost a blowout in their match last week, Smith Valley were happy to find some success on Saturday. They made easy work of Round Mountain on Saturday and carried off a 50-24 victory.the rankings were on Smith Valley's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result

Smith Valley started the contest off right with 32 first-half points. Round Mountain countered with 18 points, leaving the score at 32-18 going into the half. The Smith Valley defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Smith Valley take on Tonopah . Tonopah have averaged 73 points over the course of their past seven games, so Smith Valley might be in for a challenge. Round Mountain will take on Coleville at home at 7:00 PM. Coleville enter the game touting a three-game streak of increasing point totals.
