Basketball Game Preview: Spencer Rockets vs. Gilman Pirates

The Spencer Rockets are taking a road trip to challenge the Gilman Pirates at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Spencer ended up a good deal behind Greenwood and lost 50-35. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Indians are ranked 139th).

Meanwhile, Gilman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 44-25 to Loyal.

Gilman's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Spencer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Spencer might still be hurting after the 53-32 defeat they got from Gilman when the teams last played back in January. Can Spencer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
