Volleyball Recap: Marco Island Academy Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calvary Christian, Marco Island Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Mason Classical Academy Paladins 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rays also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marco Island Academy took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-10, 25-9.

Sophia Ogdin had an outrageously good game as she had 12 digs and six aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Marco Island Academy pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mason Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Marco Island Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Everglades City on the 11th. As for Mason Classical Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Babcock on the 11th.
