Recap: Tyler HEAT vs. Palestine Wildcats

Tyler HEAT had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Palestine out 46-43. Given Tyler HEAT's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Palestine is ranked 613th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyler HEAT got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Grimes out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. Grimes hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Tomlin, who scored 14 points.

Tyler HEAT is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Palestine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Tyler HEAT is on the road again on Saturday and play against Tyler at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Palestine, they will square off against Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
