After flying high against Northeastern last Saturday, Fairbanks came back down to earth. The Fairbanks Panthers took a 55-37 bruising from the Buckeye Valley Barons on Monday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.

Fairbanks' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mara Vicari, who posted ten points. Vicari is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Meihls, who scored ten points and five rebounds.
