Softball Recap: Waunakee Comes Up Short

Waunakee was the 12-8 winner over Monona Grove when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 7-4 to the Silver Eagles on Thursday.

Waunakee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audra Ubersox, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Waunakee's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Monona Grove, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Coming up, Waunakee will host Milton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Monona Grove, they will head out to face off against Edgerton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
