Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Avani Poolman and Esperanza Sanchez Villanueva Lead Carrollton to Victory

There's no place like home for Carrollton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Rome Wolves by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Carrollton was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-13.

Carrollton was led to victory by Esperanza Sanchez Villanueva and Avani Poolman. Sanchez Villanueva had 16 assists and two aces, while Poolman had four aces and one assist.

They weren't the only good server: Carrollton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rome only served three aces.
