Recap: Amherst County Lancers vs. Staunton Storm
The Amherst County Lancers lost against the Staunton Storm back in December of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Amherst County took a serious blow against Staunton, falling 64-33.
Amherst County's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaion Morris, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zech Lilly, who scored 7 points.
Amherst County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Staunton, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amherst County will take on Nelson County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Staunton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th.
