Football Game Preview: South Garner Titans vs. Garner Trojans + How To Watch

The South Garner Titans will take on the Garner Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

South Garner is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since October 25, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Clayton 42-7. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Titans' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Despite the loss, South Garner got top-tier performance from Alijah Clarke, who rushed for 156 yards and one score. Clarke's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Garner unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 49-28 to Cleveland. The matchup was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Trojans couldn't quite close it out.

Garner's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for South Garner, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

South Garner lost to Garner at home by a decisive 26-7 margin in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Titans, Devyn Grant (who rushed for 252 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 41 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
