League recap: Wahconah Regional stuns Mt. Greylock Regional in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wahconah Regional, who took down 55th ranked Mt. Greylock Regional, 20-8.

St. Joseph Central's Jon Bianchi rumbled for the longest rushing play in Berkshires this season in his game against Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett last week. Bianchi ran for 64 yards on the play and finished with 140 on the day as his team beat the Spartans.

St. Joseph Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bianchi threw for 100 yards and Mike Carpenter had 100 yards receiving.

St. Joseph Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Crusaders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bianchi has thrown for 428 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Taverick Roberson has eight catches for 172 yards. Lavante Wiggins leads the league in rushing with 827 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Gary Bianchi's team takes on Pittsfield. At the moment, the Crusaders are in third, while the Generals are in fifth.

The Warriors moved up to 115 from 146 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Berkshires. Wahconah Regional was able to make move up by beating the Mounties 20-8.
