Football Recap: Shelton's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Shelton needed a changed in momentum after dropping six straight games and they got it from Cole StPierre. The Gaels came out on top against the Notre Dame Green Knights by a score of 14-7 on Friday for which the team can thank StPierre, who rushed for 212 yards and two TDs. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.

Shelton's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Notre Dame, they moved to 3-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Shelton is set to take on their familiar foe Sheehan at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: StPierre and Josh Durant. Meanwhile, Notre Dame will square off against rival Hillhouse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
