Football Game Preview: Tunstall Trojans vs. Magna Vista Warriors + Official Tickets

Tunstall is 1-9 against Magna Vista since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Trojans will take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tunstall took a 25-point defeat the last time they faced off against Martinsville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans skirted past the Bulldogs 26-23. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

A big part of Tunstall's win came down to the chemistry between Dakaden Pritchett and his top target Aiden Totten. Pritchett rushed for 51 yards while Totten picked up 89 receiving yards and one score. That receiving touchdown marked the first that Totten has hauled in this season.

Tunstall didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Pritchett.

Meanwhile, Magna Vista made easy work of Bassett on Friday and carried off a 42-17 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Tunstall's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Magna Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Tunstall was taken down by Magna Vista 48-8 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Trojans were down 41-8.
