Basketball Recap: Winter Haven Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Winter Haven Christian extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They had to suffer through a 71-36 loss at the hands of the All Saints' Academy Saints. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 65-24 to the Saints when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for All Saints' Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Leading All Saints' Academy to victory were Josh Koch and Asher Cook. Koch posted 11 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards, while Cook shot 64% from the field on his way to 16 points. Those 16 points gave Cook a new career-high. Landon Gall was another key player, putting up six points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Winter Haven Christian will face off against Families Instructing Students HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for All Saints' Academy, they will take on Lake Region at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
