Softball Recap: Glendora Tartans vs. Bonita Bearcats

Glendora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They suffered a rough 15-5 defeat at the hands of the Bonita Bearcats. Glendora was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bonita apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on April 10th.

Glendora saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylie Winovitch, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

On Bonita's side, Serenity Reyes was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Reyes has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Reyes was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Camryn Van valkenburgh was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4. Madi Arzate was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Glendora's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Bonita, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Glendora will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Colony at 3:30 p.m. Bonita does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
