Volleyball Recap: Analy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Analy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piner Prospectors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Analy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Isabella Romine had four digs and three aces. Romine is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Analy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Piner, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Coming up, Analy will face off against Casa Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piner, they will head out on the road to take on San Rafael at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
