Softball Recap: Magnolia Falls to La Quinta in First Game of Season

Magnolia unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 13-2 to the La Quinta Aztecs on Wednesday. The Sentinels have struggled against the Aztecs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Valerie Moniz was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Magnolia will take on Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on February 26th. As for La Quinta, they will venture away from home to challenge Anaheim at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
