Basketball Recap: North Central Piles Up the Points Against Westlake

North Central fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Westlake Rams 74-44.

North Central found their leader in sophomore Malachi Joseph, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, Joseph is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarion Edwards, who posted ten points.

North Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

North Central's win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will welcome Northside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Westlake, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against St. Louis Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
