Softball Recap: Masterman Comes Up Short

Masterman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Girard Academic Music Program Pioneers. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Masterman's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Girard Academic Music Program, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Masterman will head out to challenge Science Leadership Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Girard Academic Music Program, they will host Prep Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.86 runs per game on average), something the Pioneers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
