Baseball Game Preview: Pennington Tigers vs. Vinemont Eagles

Pennington and Vinemont are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Pennington Tigers will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Vinemont Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Pennington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Pennington is returning to their home field after beating Vinemont on theirs, despite the fact Vinemont has dominated at home this season. Pennington walked away with a 7-4 victory over Vinemont on Monday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Caleb Parsons was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Cantrell, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Vinemont's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pennington, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
