Basketball Recap: Eau Gallie Falls Despite Big Games from Elijah Tynes and Quentin Hardin

Eau Gallie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 56-42 to the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Commodores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 266th).

Quentin Hardin and Elijah Tynes certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hardin posted 15 points, while Tynes put up ten points and five rebounds.

Anthony Hampton was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 9 on his way to 22 points for Flagler Palm Coast. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Caliendo, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points.

Eau Gallie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Flagler Palm Coast, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Eau Gallie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-41 loss against Legacy Charter on the 4th. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-47 win against Deltona on the 4th.
