Softball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus lost against Elkhorn back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Discoverers fell 7-3 to the Antlers.

Columbus saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Naomi Robertson, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Columbus' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Elkhorn, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Coming up, Columbus will welcome Fremont at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Elkhorn, they will square off against Norfolk at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Antlers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
