Basketball Game Preview: Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins vs. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets

The Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins will venture away from home to square off against the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Fort Wayne Northrop came up short against Woodlan and fell 63-55. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Donlaray Reese, who posted 14 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of James Browning, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Fort Wayne Northrop smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Angola. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Hornets are ranked 141st).

Fort Wayne Northrop's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Fort Wayne Northrop ended up a good deal behind Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 48-32. Can Fort Wayne Northrop avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
