Basketball Recap: Sikeston Picks Up 31st Straight Win at Home

Sikeston came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Central Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 63-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 90-52 back in December of 2024.

Sikeston pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their 31st straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.8 points over those games. As for Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season.

Sikeston will take on New Madrid County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 338 places (13 vs. 351). Meanwhile, Central (ranked 55th) will meet Charleston (ranked 205th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
