Softball Recap: Ross Comes Up Short

Ross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Springfield Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 on Tuesday.

Ross saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rubi Almaguer, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Ross' defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Springfield, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Ross will head out on the road to take on Port Clinton at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Little Giants' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Springfield, they will take on Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
