Baseball Recap: John Marshall Comes Up Short

John Marshall lost against Wheeling Park back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Monarchs lost 13-3 to the Patriots. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

John Marshall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Hughes, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

John Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Wheeling Park, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Marshall will host Spring Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeling Park, they will be playing at home against Weir at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are facing the Red Riders at the right time seeing as the Red Riders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
