Recap: Wise Pumas vs. Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders
The Wise Pumas extended their postseason success on Friday against the Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders. They really took it to the Raiders for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-21 victory at home. Wise is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.
It was another big night for DeCarlos Young, who rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Young really tore up the turf during one magnificent 84-yard run. Peyton Nelson was another key contributor, rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
Wise's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.
Wise will take on Broadneck at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Broadneck is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Eleanor Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
