Basketball Game Preview: McDonald Blue Devils vs. Western Reserve Blue Devils

McDonald will take on Western Reserve at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Blue Devils fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They really took it to McKinley for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-27 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-19.

Western Reserve hadn't beaten Memorial on the road since November 29, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Blue Devils took down the Red Devils 52-38. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

McDonald took their win against Western Reserve in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 64-44 score. In that matchup, McDonald amassed a halftime lead of 37-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
