Baseball Recap: Mukwonago Find Success

Mukwonago proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Waukesha North Northstars get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. While the Indians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Preston Ciurro looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mukwonago saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Arnold has hit this season.

Mukwonago's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Waukesha North, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Waukesha North wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against Menomonee Falls on the 23rd. Hopefully Mukwonago paid attention to the Northstars' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Northstars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
