Soccer Game Preview: McLane vs. Edison

The McLane Highlanders will challenge the Edison Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. McLane will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Edison better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when McLane really get things going. McLane put the hurt on Madera South with a sharp 5-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Highlanders have won six games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Madera South with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Wilber Ruiz (2), Rogelio Rendon (2), and Bernardo Meza.

Meanwhile, neither Edison nor Torres could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

McLane's victory bumped their record up to 10-5-2. With that draw, Edison's record moves to 14-2-3.
