Baseball Recap: Milton-Union Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Milton-Union, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Tri-Village Patriots on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Karson Stone was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Dylan McGuffey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Milton-Union's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Tri-Village, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Milton-Union will challenge Troy Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Tri-Village, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against National Trail at 5:00 p.m. The Patriots are facing the Blazers at the right time seeing as the Blazers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
