North Iredell and East Rowan are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Raiders will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

North Iredell is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Wilkes Central. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 72-52 margin over the Eagles on Tuesday. The Raiders not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 17, 2024 (when they won 72-50).

North Iredell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Ward out in front who shot 44% from the field en route to 21 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaden Zachary, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 16 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: North Iredell was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They racked up ten more assists than Wilkes Central's also-impressive total of 11.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led East Rowan over Wheatmore in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Mustangs took down the Warriors 66-49.

North Iredell was able to grind out a solid win over East Rowan when the teams last played back in February of 2021, winning 87-77. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
