Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westminster Christian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Chaminade-Madonna Lions by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The shutout was out of character for the Warriors seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Westminster Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Mejia, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Westminster Christian's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-11-1. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season.

While Westminster Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
