Volleyball Recap: Houghton Academy Comes Up Short

Houghton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Fillmore Eagles. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Houghton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Fillmore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Houghton Academy will take on rival Genesee Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fillmore is set to face off against their familiar foe Bolivar-Richburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
