Baseball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Buena

Buena won against Cape May County Tech on Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Chiefs beat the Hawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. The win was familiar territory for the Chiefs, who have now won three contests in a row.

The team relied heavily on Dylan O'Connell, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Jalexis Agosto-Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Buena's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average this season. As for Cape May County Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Buena will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Glassboro at 10:00 a.m. As for Cape May County Tech, they will head out to square off against Gloucester County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
