Huntington had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Green Oaks Giants 70-52 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Huntington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ejayden Mcdonald out in front who went 5-for-12 en route to 13 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Le'Cedric Allen, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Green Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Huntington will square off against Gateway Charter Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Green Oaks, they will venture away from home to face off against Woodlawn-Shreveport at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
