On Tuesday Rivers Kurland didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. The performance marked the fewest hits Kurland has had since back in February. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his eighth in a row with more than seven strikeouts. For the year, he has an ERA of .39 over 53.3 innings pitched.

Coming up, Kurland and Berkeley Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers are a perfect 10-0 against the Phoenix going back to May of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
