Football Game Preview: Manchester Panthers vs. Orrville Red Riders + Official Tickets

The Manchester Panthers will head out to challenge the Orrville Red Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Manchester is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Triway on Friday. They were dealt a 49-7 defeat at the hands of the Titans. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Titans are ranked 114th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Orrville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 34-13 margin over Worthington Christian on Friday. Considering the Red Riders have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Orrville pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games. As for Manchester, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Everything went Manchester's way against Orrville in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Manchester made off with a 31-11 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
