Football Game Preview: Palisade Bulldogs vs. Roosevelt Roughriders + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Dylon Larson and Milo Pascual are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Palisade Bulldogs will challenge the Roosevelt Roughriders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Palisade comes in on seven and Roosevelt on five.

Palisade is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They skirted past Timnath 27-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since August 30, 2024.

Palisade got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cade Carter out in front who rushed for 121 yards. Those 121 rushing yards gave Carter a new career-high.

Palisade's run defense was locked in: Timnath could only muster 2.8 yards per carry. While three picked up at least three total tackles, Larson stood above the rest. He rushed for 135 yards and one TD on only seven carries. The dominant display was nothing new: Palisade has now limited their opponent to fewer and fewer yards per carry in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, while Roosevelt put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Pueblo County. The Roughriders blew past the Hornets, posting a 47-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Roughriders, who have now won six games by 35 points or more so far this season.

Palisade better keep an eye on Ryder Tymkowych. He was instrumental in Roosevelt's win, rushing for 86 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Aiden Robinson was in the mix too, providing the Roughriders with one score.

Palisade's record now sits at 9-2. As for Roosevelt, their record is now 8-3.

Palisade took a serious blow against Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in August of 2023, falling 49-6. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Xavier Ramirez (who rushed for 65 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
