Volleyball Preview: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. Westlake Thunder
The Timpanogos Timberwolves will head out on the road to challenge the Westlake Thunder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Timpanogos is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Lehi, who was ranked second at the time (Timpanogos was ranked tenth). Timpanogos lost 3-0 to Lehi on Thursday. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Lehi scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-22.
The losing side was boosted by Zaxen Downey, who had two aces and one block. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (30).
Meanwhile, Westlake didn't have quite enough to beat Orem on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Timpanogos will have to contain Talon Schank as he made an impact in Westlake's last game. He had 19 digs and four assists. Schank is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Timpanogos' record is now 4-3. As for Westlake, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-2.
