Softball Recap: Nowata Takes a Loss

Nowata fell victim to Preston and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Ironmen in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.

Nowata's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Preston, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Nowata will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wyandotte at 6:00 p.m. on December 20. As for Preston, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-0 win against Caney Valley on the 25th.
