Basketball Recap: Gunn Comes Up Short

Gunn lost against Burlingame back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Gunn Titans fell 51-42 to the Burlingame Panthers.

Leading Burlingame to victory were Jean-Luc Uharriet and Lucca Maher. Uharriet posted 17 points, while Maher made all 5 shots he took for 13 points and six rebounds. Those 17 points gave Uharriet a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marcus Tapia, who had seven points.

Gunn now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Burlingame, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-5.

Gunn will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on January 4th. As for Burlingame, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-42 loss against El Camino on the 30th.
