Beatty came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Laughlin, but Anthony Celi-Brookins wouldn't allow it. The Cougars came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 42-30 on Friday thanks in part to Celi-Brookins, who threw for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. His passing game has become a key predictor of Laughlin's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Laughlin's defense and their ten sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Darius Buckley and Davinci Faccioli, who racked up seven sacks between them. Laughlin received some extra help from Faccioli, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The victory made it two in a row for Laughlin and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games. As for Beatty, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
